You are in the Kittatinny Mountains, which lie along the Appalachian Trail, and hiking and other outdoor adventures are just a short drive away at Stokes State Forest (Tillman Ravine, Buttermilk Falls, Sunrise Mountain). Head a little further north to High Point State Park or into PA for more waterfalls, hiking trails, and kayaking/tubing at the Delaware Water Gap. Looking for an excursion with with kids? You can visit the animals at Tamerlain Sanctuary or drive to Mountain Creek Resort for golf, ropes course, zip lining, skiing, tubing, and the mountain coaster. Also a short drive away are the quaint antiquing/shopping areas of historic Lafayette NJ and Milford, PA. In the Fall, visit one of the many farm and roadside stands for fresh produce, cider donuts, apples, pies, and pumpkin picking.
