THINGS TO NOTE
please be aware:
WE HAVE BEARS
Consider yourself warned but don't be alarmed. This is the country! Bears are occasionally spotted passing through the neighborhood. Rarely they will approach houses, mainly at night in the warmer months, when all is quiet and a food source is left outside. Be mindful of this, and follow this VERY IMPORTANT RULE: please do not leave food, dishes, wrappers, packages, drinks, cans/bottles, or empty beverage containers outside overnight. Take care to bring ALL LEFTOVERS, DISHES, AND TRASH in the house. Wipe down the grill and secure the cover. Double check the pond and patio area, the deck, the screened porch, and the fire pit for food scraps, drinks, dishes, and wrappers.
NO PARTIES ALLOWED
*This private neighborhood is known as Hiram's Grove and is very family-oriented. This is not a lake resort. We feel extremely lucky to get to share it with you. You will often see other friendly folks and families fishing and swimming at the lake, riding quads, or walking around. Please be courteous to our neighbors. There are no loud music or parties allowed.
COMMUNITY RULES
*The speed limit in the neighborhood (as soon as you turn onto Hiram's Grove Rd.) is 15mph. This is strictly enforced by the locals, and we will hear about it if cars are speeding. Please keep that in mind.
*Many of our neighbors drive Quads (4-wheelers) around the roads here. You may occasionally hear and see them zooming around. Please give them the right of way when passing.
*The residents of Hiram's Grove pay yearly dues for access to fish and swim. Unfortunately, guests are not allowed to use the community lake without a property owner present. There are many lakes and rivers nearby which allow the public to swim and fish (with a license). Check out Swartswood Lake, High Point State Park, or Milford (PA) Beach.
